Ingredients
- 1/3 lb turkey breast cut into 1/4" slices
- 1 egg
- Panko
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- oil for frying
- 1/2 small white onion, sliced
- 1/4 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 cup carrots, sliced
- 2 stalks celery, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced
- 2 tsp ginger, diced
- 1/4 tsp MSG
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1/6 cup water
- 3/4 cup orange juice
Instructions
- Heat oil in wok for frying.
- Mix flour, white pepper, black pepper, salt innone bowl. Scramble egg in another. Pour panko in a third bowl. Slice turkey breast.
- Coat turkey slices into flour mixture, then egg, then, panko.
- Fry coated turkey in oil in batches of about 5 until golden brown and drain on paper towels.
- Once frying is done, pour oil out into a bowl, and scoop out any bits left in the wok.
- Add a tablespoon of oil into the wok, and stir fry garlic and ginger first. Do not burn.
- Add sliced carrots, celery, onion, and bell pepper and stir fry for a couple of minutes.
- Add orange juice, soy sauce, MSG to the wok until heated.
- Mix water and corn starch into a bowl to make a slurry. Then mix into the heated liquid in the wok and stir until thickened.
- Add the fried turkey and mix to coat it and the vegetables in the orange slurry.
- Green onion for garnish.
